The first and most important factor to consider before go for an assembled computer is to find a reliable computer assembler and you should have some basic hardware knowledge. If you are confident on an assembler and his work knowledge, better go for buying an assembled computer. An assembled computers are the first choice of most hardware conscious people.
Assembled PC Configuration
Choosing the right PC configuration is very important on buying your assembled computer. The configuration should meet your requirement as well as the price should fall within your estimated budget. This step may take some time and effort. But a reliable PC assembler can guide you to choose the right PC configuration within your budget price. You should get atleast three differnet configuration and compare the advantage and disadvanteges on each configuration.
Choosing the Processor
We have Intel and AMD processors to choose our required one.In Intel we have low priced Celeron processors to Core2Duo processors. The price difference between these two ends are much higher. AMD processors are available on cheap price with good performance. When compared to Intel processors, AMD can give better processing speed for cheaper price. At the entry level AMD Sempron is a best value for money choice. The next levels are AMD64bit processors and AMD AM2 dual core processors. The price of these processors are continually changing. Choosing the Motherboards
We have the world top branded motherboards at cheap price to choose for our assembled PC. Intel original motherboards are our first recommendation because of various reasons. The next available motherboards in the market are Gigabyte,Mercury,Asus and Zebronics. Gigabyte and Asus are world leader in motherboard manufacturing. In these brands you can get chipsets other than Intel. In India most of the dealers are not recommending Asus motherboards due to many other reasons. Actually "Asus" is a world leading manufacturer of motherboards.
Memory modules
At present we have DDR and DDR2 RAM modules available in the market. DDR2 is allowing twice the bus clock speed so that makes the PC tranfer the data much faster than the DDR modules. When choosing the DDR2 Ram modules, choose more than 512MB to get full performance of the dual channel. While 256MB is more than enough for the entry level PCs, 1GB of RAM will give you a better performance on multi tasking PCs. As the DDR2 is the latest available RAM modules, better choose these memory and the suitable motherboards with extra DIMM slot for future upgradation. While choosing the motherboards, it is advisable to select the best brands with original manufacturer package. We recommend Transcend, Kingston and Sandisk memory modules for better performance and long life with good warranty periods. Hynix is a leading RAM chip manufacturers. But it is difficult to get an original RAM module with the original Hynix chips in Indian market. Zion RAM modules are using the original Hynix chips in India so that we can choose this brand if interested in Hynix. The price of the RAM modules and drastically falling. So, it is highly recommend to buy a low capacity RAM module at the beginning and upgrade after a while for better price reductions.
Hard drives for your assembled computers
We have IDE (Parallel ATA) and SATA hard drives are available in the market. Our recommendation on buying a hard disk is 160GB/7200rpm/Seagate/SATA2 due to many reasons. First of all Seagate is a worl best hard disk manufacturers. They are making hard disks of good performance and giving you a good warranty period. The reason behind choosing the 160GB capacity is the less price for 1GB of storage capacity. All other capacities are much higher priced for 1GB. If we divide the price with the total capacity, we can achieve this 1GB price of the hard disk.
SATA2 drives are trasfering data much faster than IDE or SATA1 compared to the price difference. So, better choose SATA2 drives. 7200rpm is more than enough for almost all PC requirement. If you really need much better performance on speed, you can go for 10000rpm. The price difference is much higher than what we really get in return.
Monitors - CRT or LCD
CRT(Cathode ray tube) monitors are cheaper than LCD monitors. LCD monitors are best for it's compact, good picture quality, long life and low radiation. But for low budget, better choose the CRT monitor from well branded like Samsung, LG and Viewsonic. If we go for LCD monitors of 19inch and above, we need to consider buy a seperate dedicated graphics card which will support the resolution of the monitor for better performance. We recommend Viewsonic LCD monitors for better value for money. Viewsonic monitors are leading brand in US and they are in this business for long time. But in India they are new. When compared with other LCD monitors, Viewsonic monitors are coming with good contrast ratio for lesser price. Samsung and LG are also a well brand names on LCD monitors.
Drives- Floppy, CD and DVD drives.
Floppies are mostly out dated. Most of the laptop models are not coming with a floppy drive nowadays. When we look for CD/DVD drives, better choosing a DVD-RW drive, as this can read and write all CDs and DVDs. DVD combo is the choice for budget PCs. Sony, samsung, Asus, Gigabyte, LG drives are available in the market with good warranty periods.
Mouse and Keyboards.
Now optical and ball type mouses are available in the market. Optical mouses are prefered choice of most consumers as it gives accurate movements. Wireless mouses are also available, but the requirement is upto us. The same applies to keyboards also. Many well branded multimedia keyboards are available with cord and cordless types. Cabinets and Power supplies (SMPS).
There are many good low end cabinets are available from Zebronics, Primesource, Mercury and iBall. High end Cabinets with great look and seperate chambers and cooling fans are available from "Antec" brand. The power supplies (SMPS) supplied with the cabinets are mostly fulfill our power requirement. If we go for any other power consuming devices, better go for a higher range power supplies. Antec power supplies are of high quality and offer good performance on different power requirements.
